Brunei Darrusalam National Vision 2035 – The Real Inclusive Growth
Brunei Darussalam is a small country in South East Asia, located on the coast of Borneo. The country is known as the Abode of Peace and is known for its efficiently managed administration. It has launched many policies and laws for the welfare of its people but the biggest vision that it launched in the year 2007 is called the Brunei Vision 2035 which aims at inclusive growth of the nation by focusing on eight major aspects. The eight aspects are the areas of development which include, education, economy, institutional development, domestic business development, national security, social security, infrastructure development, and environmental strategy.
Brunei is extremely committed to fulfill its vision. To unprotected to it successfully it has laid down detailed strategic and communication plans. The perception of public and countries towards the National Vision of Brunei has been supportive and welcoming. It has established bilateral and diplomatic relations with countries across the globe and it has relations with almost 155 countries. Brunei has been in active participation with international bodies like, Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA), the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), World Trade Organization (WTO), the Commonwealth of Nations and the United Nations. Brunei is being supported by other economies too.
Ms. Noorashidah Aliomar, Information Officer, Information Department, chief Ministers Office of Brunei, stated in her speech at the 4th China-ASEAN Media Cooperation Seminar that the one challenge that the country is facing is to keep speed with the emerging and new ways of communication. The way information is being disseminated has changed a lot and to effectively unprotected to the vision laid out, the country has adopted the new ways of two-way communication like Facebook, Twitter, RSS Feeds, YouTube, Podcasts and other Web 2.0 tools instead of only relying on the traditional and traditional tools like print newspapers, television, and radio, though it nevertheless remains to be one of the important mediums of reaching out to the masses.
Brunei thinks about the inclusive growth and it is inclined towards lending continuous help and sustain to other nations and promoting developments in the economic, environmental, and humanitarian fronts. Since the time that Brunei has taken up this vision, the global world has also initiated a lot of these kinds of efforts to uplift their people and to help other nations. Bruneis vision is a trademark for other nations to think of inclusive growth in terms of all the vital spheres of development.
