Choosing a Blogging Application – Using the Platform That Works For Yo…
When choosing a blogging application, you want a few meaningful factors in place. The first is always ease of use. After that, you have affordability, in addition as flexibility. How do you know which blogging application is right for you?
The most popular blogging application right now is WordPress. WordPress is free to use, whether self hosted or on their servers, and it is very easy to adapt to your style. As far as ease of use goes, it’s probably the best. If you don’t want to pay for hosting, you can have it hosted for you. The only caveat to this is you cannot run any advertising on the site. So be careful if you’re looking to make money off your WordPress blog.
The second most popular is blogger. Blogger is hosted by Google, and it is very easy to use. You can find themes on the Internet to easily change up the look. Plus, it’s one of the few free blogs that you can make money with. You do need to be careful what you promote, as Google reserves the right to delete your blog if it’s against their terms of service.
There are a few other blogging applications you can use except these two. Self-hosted programs include B2Evolution, Joomla, LifeType, and Moveable kind, to name a few. These are a little harder to use, but they can help you reach a look you may not be able to get with WordPress. Other free system hosted applications include LiveJournal, Xanga, Windows Live Spaces, and TypePad.
