New Zealand : Delta Variant sudden increase spreads beyond Auckland
chief Minister Jacinda Ardern adds additional regions into a break lockdown on Sunday as New Zealand’s Delta variant sudden increase spreads beyond the largest city of Auckland.
There were 32 new coronavirus situations on Sunday in Auckland, which has been in lockdown since mid-August, and two situations in the Waikato vicinity, some 147 kilometres (91 miles) south of Auckland.
For travel – All non-New Zealand citizens will have to be fully vaccinated before they’re allowed to travel to New Zealand as of November 1, Covid-19 Minister Chris Hipkins has announced. “This is an important step in our Reconnecting New Zealand strategy,” Hipkins said in a statement.
Travellers will need to have had a complete course of any of the 22 vaccines approved by a government or approval authority, with the last measure being at the minimum 14 days before arrival.
