How Many Nigerians Make Money Online?
Back in 2007 when I was about to finish from the polytechnic, a friend of mine opened my eyes to the great opportunities of earning a stable income on the internet. I really did not understand till I laid my hand on a free report by Travis Sago, the report was about making money by affiliate marketing titled “the bum marketing method.”
Though it was my first attempt at making money online I couldn’t make a dime for about seven months and unlike many startup online marketers, I did not give up till I made my first $5 by Google AdSense with my first blog.
Before this time I knew of some Nigerians making money by illegal method also known as “yahoo-yahoo,” already though I wish to make money like them, I always remember the words of Robert Kiyosaki which says “if you want to be high just find out what everybody are doing and do the opposite.” He also said “it is too easy to get high legally to ever risk going to jail for something illegal.” Besides, I have my name and that of my family to protect.
I later had my breakthrough when I met some Nigerians who are also into legal business online. Of course I met non Nigerians who also helped in achieving my breakthrough online, though I never met them in person but I have read their books and visited their websites a number of times. Some of these people are; Ewen Chia, Joel Comm, Robert Kiyosaki, Travis Sago, etc.
Some of the Nigerians also include;
Sunny Obazu-Ojeagbase (PhD) he is the CEO cum founder of Success Attitude Development Center (SADC) established in 1995 to raise and nurture entrepreneurs whose success in business is pushed by the fear of God. He is also the publisher of success Digest additional, a weekly magazine to teach people how to make both online and offline. He resides in Lagos, Nigeria.
Another person is Mr. Henry Omenogor, he is a money making expert who focuses on making money by solving technically relate problems online and offline. He runs a web design and hosting company and build websites for Nigerian companies. He is the founder of three thriving companies, Oh My Website, Menog Computers and Prints And Publishing. He is the publisher of Start Your Own Business magazine. He also resides in Lagos, Nigeria.
The last but not the least is Olusegun Kofoworola, he is into Google adsense, though he majors as a service provider on Scriptlance, Getacoder, LimeExchange and eufreelance. He started his online campaign in 2007 and he had since then being a friend, colleague and a source of inspiration that keeps me going.He lives in Akure, Ondo state, Nigeria.
Now, how many Nigerians make money online? The simple answer is – thousands. The above three are people I had personal encounter with over the years. They all make their money legally by programs such as Google adsense, affiliate marketing, domain monetization, survey, copy writing, just to mention but a few. These people are good ambassadors of Nigeria and are making their country proud.
